Yes, I am still pretty upset and hurt by what the person did. Sigh... but as I was reading a book by Stormie Omartian. The chapter was about forgiveness.
Forgiveness is not easy. I have to admit even as I am journaling this, I find it really, really hard. Sigh... sigh... sigh... But it's right in the eyes of God. I mean look at it this way, we ourselves have sinned so much more than we can imagine. Yet time and time again, God forgives us.
Yup... I really need to forgive her. If not, I don't think I'll ever have peace but only dislikeness for the person. The more you think about it, the more that dislikeness will deepen and it will turn to hate. That is not what God has called us to do. We are called to love one another and accept one another despite our imperfections.
Everyone is different, everyone is unique and special in God's eyes. So if God can forgive, why can't I?
