Humility... What is humility? I got these definitions from the internet.
1) Marked by meekness or modesty in behavior, attitude, or spirit; not arrogant or prideful.
2) Showing deferential or submissive respect: a humble apology.
3) Low in rank, quality, or station; unpretentious or lowly: a humble cottage.
Well, I learnt that being a Christian requires me to be humble. It requires me to have humility. However, if you look at typical humans, the more things go your way, the more you think ,"Wow! It must be me!" And then, we start getting proud.
Yesterday, God reminded me not to be proud but always be humble and value others above myself. I'm not that great. It's God that is great, He is the one who does the work and the others around me play a valuable part in my life as well.
Philippians 2:3-4 "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others."
Yup! So I must always pray to ask God to help me to humble and to value others. Thank you God for His reminder. It is not me but Him who uses me and the others around me.
