I'm awake and at work. Hahaha... :) Barely even slept. Goodness... My dark rings are probably superbly obvious.
Anyway, a little thanksgiving. Thanks be to God for answering my prayers by sending the mosquito away. That's how I managed to sleep.
During my sleep for that few minutes or for don't know how long, I had a dream. A dream of someone telling me that I could not come into the house because of uncleanliness. Well, the dream goes like this. I was talking to this person and this person said, "You cannot come in, I don't want anything unclean in my house." So that shocked me and I was actually crying in my sleep. I could feel tears streaming down my face. I remembered even wiping it and I didn't know what to say.
Hence, when I woke up this morning, I reflected on what the dream was about. The person represents God. The house, represents His kingdom.
Galatians 5:19-21
19The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Awakened? Yeah, very awakening. More and more we must always be on guard. A lot of times, we react by human instincts but because we have Christ in us, the more we have to show that we will not compromise to such behaviour and attitudes. Yes, we don't see it now, we don't see the point of acting all love and all goodie two shoes. We want to be like our friends and be part and parcel of the group.
But you know what? Don't be afraid if people don't appreciate who you are and the things you do may all seem too 'good'. God will not only fill the gap in your heart. He will also send you like minded people to encourage you and to build you up.
I heard someone say yesterday, "People are purposes sent into time." You are here on this earth for a reason and that is to be the salt and light of this earth. If we compromise our faith, people will definitely say, "How great can your this God be? You act like us, you behave like us. I don't see any difference between your life and mine. So why should I be a Christian?"
It's a wake up call for me. I hope as you read this, it will be for you as well. Make a difference. Be different. Be the purpose that is sent into time.
