So far this week has been quite a fulfilling week. I managed to spend time both in the morning and night to read my bible and meditate on God's word. Today, I was still spending time reading Ps 139. As I read again, my heart is filled with gratitude for the presence of God in my life.

Ps 139:7-8 "Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there. If I make my bed in the depths, you are there."

Truly, God is everywhere no matter where I am. This just makes me feel so loved and so wanted and so comforted. Thank you Lord for your presence wherever I am, whatever I do, I know that you are watching over me.

On a different note, I have been praying for something for a while and yesterday, as I was doing my devotion, I came across the story of Hannah in 1 Samuel. She was praying for a son as she had none and she was constantly being poked at by another woman. Anyway, after she prayed, she left the temple no longer feeling sad. You know what this says to me? She expected God to answer her prayer and she waited with expectancy. Soon, God answered her prayer.

Well, I'm waiting with a heart of expectancy for God to answer my prayer. While waiting patiently, I shall not be anxious or worried. In Philippians 4:6 it says, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving present your requests to God." That's what Hannah did.

Lord, I thank God that you are my God and you hear my prayers. Let nothing discourage me while waiting but Lord, teach me to put my trust in you as I wait patiently. In Your time, God, you will answer my prayers for your timing is always perfect and you know what is best for me.
