Giving some thought to what F. Kefa Sempangi has said, it is indeed true that we Singapore Christians are comfortable with the security of life here. The reality that we one day might face persecution or even die for the cause of Christ is not even a feeling.
Someone once told me that we must live life as if we are no longer going to be here anymore. A question I ask myself just thinking about this, "What have I done so far?" Answer: "Nothing." Other than working, trying to earn more money, reading the bible and spending time with God, I have done relatively nothing to be a spokesperson for God. Seriously. It's not that I never tried. I did.
As I am typing now, a reminder of how I think came to my mind, I know many of us are guilty of it...
1) Would you bring your friend to ZLSCC?
Ans: No
2) Why?
Ans: Because everything is so boring. The message is boring, people speak with such a mono tones and service is getting really long. Basically, not exciting.
3) So why am I still in this church?
Ans: I don't know.
4) Do I think that I have fulfilled my purpose being here on this earth or in this church?
Ans: Seriously, I can do more.
5) So what are you going to do about it now?
Ans: I don't know? Improve?
Hahaha... Ok, there are so many other things I think to myself and seriously, let's be honest lar. This is how we feel sometimes, no?
I need God and go back to my roots. Lord, what else can I do to help myself?
