Review of TVD Isabella Maxi Skirt & Whimisicalalley Floral Cardigan+ Thoughts about Blogshopping

Hihi!

Someone asked me a question on my formspring regarding me being an "oldie" on the forums and whether I shop at new blogshops got me thinking and I decided to share what I think.

Actually, I'm not much of risk taker if you ask me. I rather go with the more well known blogshops rather than the newer ones. One of the main reasons why I prefer to shop at more renowned blogshops is because I'm not the usual UK 6-8 kinda girl. I'm a UK 10-12 hence, I prefer clothes with sizes.

I used to go crazy shopping and buying whatever I liked and yeah, the craziness has stopped. Thank God! I have collected tons of clothes over the past 3 years of shopping online. Even clothes that were 3 years ago, are still brand new in my drawer. Haha. *guilty*

However, I recently thought about the price range and everywhere is selling the same thing. It's super competitive. Are blogshops reasonably priced nowadays? Actually I think not really. Some are really worth it, some are not. I have been disappointed by LB, TVD, TTR, MGG etc before with their material used. So how do we measure the price tag that goes with the price? We can't. It's really through trial and error. I've stopped buying from HH as their material tend to fur easily. Forgive me, HH fans.

I still do buy from LB, TVD, TTR, MGG coz their model looks so good in everything but it comes with cautiousness nowadays. I must look, scrutinize and ask for opinions first before buying. But sometimes, it's a craze and a passing phase where "I MUST HAVE THAT!" And afterwards you regret x100.

And because their customer base is ssssoooo big, kudos to them, their customer service sometimes cannot make it.

So after saying all these, should we give the newer blogshops a chance? I think we should as they do not price their stuff that high plus we are guaranteed better customer service. So far, I've had a good experience with Whimsicalalley and Project Serenade. Though,  they belong to two friends of mine, I believe that they are doing a good job. And no, I'm not advertising, I've had to pay full price for the items that I've bought so far, no discounts plus received my items safely via normal post :D

Well, I bought from TTR and MGG when they first started too, and look at them today! Honestly, it's all about taking the risk and with so many choices, we should compare prices and take a chance. Of course, none of us want to be the "suay" one right? But if there are better deals out there, why not just go for it? After all money saved is better, to buy more stuff right?

Well, you can choose to agree or disagree with me. You are more than welcome to share your take with me too! :D

Review of TVD Isabella Maxi Skirt & Whimsicalalley Floral Cardigan

I received my Isabella maxi skirt from TVD and I love it!!! I'm a maxi skirt lover by the way, hides my fat thighs and legs away. I love the girly and flowy feel of it too. The skirt is lightweight plus the colour is really lovely. My first wine skirt.

Brownie points for making me look slimmer too. I immediately went to ask Yina if they had extra stocks for the other colours. I think I just might get a lot more colours *mad* Anybody want to sell me theirs in ocean blue or black in size M?

Paired it with Whismsicalalley Floral Cardigan. And my friend said it was preettttyyy. (She was referring to the cardigan by the way). I couldn't agree more with her. It feels a little scratchy on my skin so not advisable for people who have eczema like me but it's lightweight and good for pairing with plain tops to give that feminine and demure vibe.
