Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate

kiehls

After contemplating for the longest time, I decided to try Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate. I've been on the lookout for good night creams/oils because it's at night after your face is clean where your skin truly absorbs the vitamins and all that is supposedly good for your skin.

I'm no skincare guru. Trust me, I'm the worst when it comes to makeup brands. I'm like, "As long as it works, anything goes." Hardly have any likes or dislikes. If I'm not wrong, the retail stores are selling it at $90 ++ but my friend got it for $74 at DFS. Hence, if you want to buy, buy it from the airport. As my friends say, generally anything at the airport is cheaper. If I'm not wrong, it's about $20 cheaper. #cheapskate

The oil has the most pleasant smell ever. Lavender smell is very soothing on the senses and definitely perfect for a good night's sleep. I'm definitely one person who hearts the smell of lavender. Surprisingly, the texture is quite lightweight and the oil is being absorbed quite well. I've been using it for a week and so far I have not woken up with an oily face.

However, I do advice those with acne prone skin not to use it because I did pop one or two pimples after using it. I have combination skin by the way. And honestly, there's not much difference maybe because it's only been a week. However, some of my scars have lightened and my skin does look slightly more radiant. I don't look so tired anymore, I think?

So for those who are still thinking about it, I would say go ahead and get it. I would say the nicest thing about the oil is the smell. I think for some products, persistence is the key. It might take a while for your face to get use to it but if you don't try you will never know right?

You can ask me anything on formspring :)
