The kings of Israel and Judah just thought, let's get on with everyday life, I'm still doing what is right in the Lord's eyes and blah blah... well, in the end, one got inflicted with leporsy. And in the end, some did evil in the eyes of the Lord too. Take King David as an example, he too had his moments.
Psalms 139:23-24 "Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting."
So much so can be said and we really need nourishment for our soul everyday. It is important for us to read the bible...
If we are going to fulfill the Lord's calling for our lives, we'll need to be better nourished and in shaper condition. Placebos- sugar-coated spiritual boosters-may give us the taste of sweetness, but they will never strengthen us adequately to vanquish our foes. They will never grow us to be pillars and supports of truth that will be required in these last days. They will never deliver the necessary character to the young leaders called to take us into the future. -Cordeiro
