I guess humans are just humans? So this can just be an excuse. As I read on, it's like what on earth are these people doing? Haven't they suffered enough? Still, they refused to turn their hearts back to God. This speaks a lot about all of us. It sometimes takes a hard knock or a hard kick in our butts than we start to realize we need to change. I am in that process... Still in need of many hard kicks from God.
Don't you ever wonder, if we seriously know what is wrong but yet sometimes we still choose to do what is wrong... we are just being stubborn. Seriously stubborn and unchanging in our ways.
Is it easy to live out the God's ways? No. Truthfully, no. Everyone and anyone is watching and expects you to be holy all the time. That's why the reliance on God for strength is important. It really doesn't matter how people see you at times, more importantly is how God sees you. I have always held on to this believe that one day, the people around us/me will start to see a difference between them and us. And one day, they will come to the saving grace of God. Of course, it is crucial to spend time with God to know His ways. Reading His word without meditating is just like reading a book. Is that what God wants? Neh, not at all.
An author said,
"When it's just in your head, it makes you pharisaical. (like a Pharisee, all head knowledge but never lived it out).
When it's just in your heart, it makes you a fanatic.
When it bleeds out your toes, it makes you authentic."
Living our lives for Jesus, bleeds out of our toes. How cool is that? Hahahaha :D
