I was reading the book of Eccelsiastes and it started of with 'Everything is meaningless'. I was thinking to myself... so what is the point of doing what we're doing if everything is meaningless? What's the point of studying? What's the point of coming to work? So does the qualify us to be lazy and not do what life has called us to do?
Then I came to Ecclesiastes 3:15 "Whatever is has already been, and what will be has been before and God will call the past to account." After I read that I was like 'Woohhh...' Okie... no time to be lazy...
Ecclesiastes 3:17 "God will bring into judgement both the righteous and the wicked, for there will be a time for every activity, a time to judge every deed." Another 'Woooohhhh...' from me.
Yes, everything will become meaningless eventually. The word is eventually... But at this point of time, we should live our lives fruitfully on earth. We should be using it to fulfill the purposes of God. Not saying that we should all quit doing what we're doing and go full time. However, it's more of letting yourself shine and be that testimony wherever you go. Of course, sharing the gospel as well (fulfilling the Great Commission). Be it in school or at our workplace, always remember that we should be diligent in the little things as well.
1 Timothy 4:15 "Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress."
So let's live life the way God wants us to live... Live a life that is worthy of His calling. :) The road ahead is tough but if we lean on God for strength... Nothing will be too difficult anymore. :)
